Year round programs keeping multigenerational and historically underserved families tied to place and culture.

Waipa offers paid immersive summer internships for local youth and young adults.  These internships focus on aloha ‘aina, ahupua’a stewardship, local food systems, and empowering youth by building practical, professional, and cultural skills. Waipa also serves as a host site for year round internships through KUPU. These internships serve as pathways to career development in the aloha ‘aina sector and beyond.

Waipāʻs facilities and open spaces support economic development, community building and `ohana gatherings, as well as workshops and meetings that align with Waipāʻs mission.

The festival features live music and entertainment, ‘ono food, hands-on cultural activities, local vendors and artisans, and a waterslide for the keiki!

Invasive species were eaten, the bounty of our ʻāina was celebrated,  beautiful mele was heard and the night was danced away! We are so grateful to the many hands the contributed to the success of the evening.

Each December, Waipā hosts a vibrant Christmas Craft Fair featuring artisans and vendors from across Kauaʻi. This is a great marketplace to support local and find unique gifts for friends and family.
