Stacy grew up in Kalihiwai, on Kaua`i’s north shore. She attended Kamehameha Schools and the USC Marshall School of Business. She moved home to work with her`ohana and community in 1992. After Hurricane Iniki, Stacy began volunteering regularly at Waipā, following in the footsteps of her dad, David K. Sproat, who was one of the original founders of the activist group who committed to save Waipā from development nearly 10 years earlier. In 1994, Stacy was part of a small group of board members who created The Waipā Foundation, volunteering until she became its Executive Director and first paid staff in 2001.

Together with other founding families, kūpuna, `ohana, volunteers and partners, and over the next 30+ years, she led the growth of the Waipā Foundation, and continues to do so today. Stacy is deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from and work with kūpuna; spend her career in service to `āina and culture; and raise her two daughters surrounded by family, in her home community.

Jessica "Kaui" Fu is a kupa of Hanalei, graduate of Hanalei Elementary, Kapaʻa Middle & High School, and a program child of the Waipā Foundation. Inspired by her upbringing, she pursued a BA in Sociology and Hawaiian Studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, following her passions of waʻa kaulua, community organizing, Hawaiian culture and mālama ʻāina. 

As Director of Communications, Operations and Community Programming at the Waipā Foundation, she brings over a decade of experience connecting people to ʻāina through education, outreach, and community-centered programming.

Kaui's community leadership spans founding the Namahana Education Foundation, coaching youth paddlers at Hanalei Canoe Club, and serving with ʻOhana Waʻa, the Hanalei Hawaiian Civic Club, and as a caretaker of Nihoku at the Kīlauea Wildlife Refuge.

A makua raising her three children in Kīlauea, she remains steadfastly committed to giving back to her ʻāina kūpuna. "Everything I do comes back to ʻāina — and to the next generation of community members who will tend it."

Faith is born and raised in Kapahi, Kaua`i. She graduated from Kamehameha Schools Kāpalama in 2018 and received her ScB in Environmental Engineering from Brown University in 2022. Faith returned home committed to have her education and work serve our community. As Director of Biocultural and Strategic Initiatives, Faith supports the long-term stewardship of `āina with the integration of traditional practices, applied science, strategic partnership development, and organizational capacity building through collaborative partnerships, adaptive management practice, and culturally grounded approaches to resource stewardship. Faith believes Waipā is the exemplar of modern day ahupua`a management and hopes it can be a place that inspires others to apply their skills directly to ʻāina through kanaka-based practices. Ultimately, Faith strives to develop pathways that cultivate abundance in Hawai`i and to strengthen a network of `ōiwi leaders who will revitalize `āina and community for generations to come.

Maile grew up in Kalihiwai as well as Lihu`e where she comes from a long line of public servants and community organizers.  She graduated from Kīlauea Elementary and Punahou School and then Pepperdine University. After a Rotary Scholarship to Aotearoa for a graduate program, she moved home for good. Trained in education, she worked at Wilcox Elementary School and then did substitute teaching at Kīlauea and Hanalei Schools while growing her babysitting agency.

After 14 years of experience in outreach and education, Maile permanently joined the Waipā `ohana in 2026 as the Director of Development to help with grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations. Maile feels deeply honored to be able to contribute to the Waipā mission and vision, to learn from and support the beloved community around this work, and to raise her daughter on the `āina of her `ohana.

Lea was raised in the Halele`a community and is a graduate of Kīlauea Elementary School, Kaua`i High School and the University of Hawai`i West O`ahu. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Psychology. Lea has dedicated more than 20 years of service to Waipā, where she currently serves as both Youth Programs Director and Director of Finance & Administration. Her passion for working with keiki has guided her career, and she is deeply committed to creating meaningful educational experiences that connect youth to their community, culture, and environment. A lifelong advocate for community involvement, Lea has served on numerous community boards and organizations, including the Kīlauea School PTSA, Kīlauea Neighborhood Association, Kīlauea Community Outreach Program, Hui Maka`āinana o Makana, and Wai`oli Hui`ia Church. As a mother of twins, Lea feels grateful to be raising her children in the same community that helped shape her. Inspired by the opportunities and values she gained growing up in Halele`a, she has dedicated her career to strengthening Waipā’s mission while helping build a thriving future for the next generation.
