WORKDAY INFORMATION
What to Expect?
We host a workday on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9am to noon, here at Waipā.
Join us in a morning of hands-on work enhancing the ahupua’a of Waipā, followed by lunch on us!
In general, we meet at our Waipā office and warehouse (by the grab-n-go fridge) a little before 9:00 a.m. so we can get you checked in and ready to roll.
What to Bring?
Come prepared with boots, tabis, or closed-toe shoes, a water bottle, sun protection, hat, rain gear, a towel, a change of clothes, snacks and/or lunch.
If you have your own gloves, bring 'em! If not, we have some for you to use.
Do I Need to RSVP?
We kindly ask you to RSVP to emma@waipafoundtion.org so that we can plan a project appropriate for the size of the group.
Mobility Restrictions?
Workdays involve outdoors work, that is sometimes strenuous or accessible only by foot. While volunteers are always encouraged to work at a comfortable pace, we may be unable to accommodate significant mobility restrictions at workdays, though some sites are accessible by car.
