The Waipā Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit established in 1994. The organization and its work evolved from the efforts of Hawaiian families in the early 1980ʻs to save Waipā valley from resort development. At the time the local community had limited access to the 1,600 acre ahupuaʻa (watershed) located on Kauaʻiʻs north shore. Today, Waipā Foundation stewards this ahupuaʻa under a long-term lease from the landowner, Kamehameha Schools.

OUR BOARD MEMBERS
Waipāʻs board is comprised of a group of visionary, positive and committed community leaders who volunteer their time.
The board meets quarterly and is the primary governing body overseeing Waipāʻs direction and activities.
